Setup Guide

You will need PokerTracker version 4.14.22 or newer to use this HUD.
If you have older version of PT4 installed please update it first.

1) Arranging HUD panels

2) HUD Filtering

3) Database maintenance

4) Automated HUD switching

1) ARRANGING HUD PANELS

On our 3H HUD some panels will be unused during the game and we advise you to hide them.
Make sure that you are hiding the panel for the correct player.
You can check player names on a panel if you hover mouse over any stat and hold it for a couple of seconds.
You should hide 3 panels for each player.

-For the player on the left you should hide BBvBTN, SBvBB PRE and SBvBB POST panels.
Drag them behind the BTN panel.

-For the player on the right you should hide SBvBTN , BBvSB PRE and BBvSB POST panels.
Drag them behind the BTN panel.

-To save the changes click on the PT4 icon and click ‘Save layout’

For detailed instructions check the video below.

2) HUD FILTERING

All stats on our HUD are coded to automatically filter number of players at the table so there is no need for filtering in PT4.
In fact, we advise you to remove all the filters from PT4 ‘Hud Options Configuration’ window if you have them.
Some of the stats on the PLAYER Panel will not work properly if you have these filters active so please follow the guide below to remove the filters.

  • Open the PT4 software
  • Open ‘HUD’ > ‘Edit HUD Options’ window
  • If you don’t have any filters in ‘Numbers of Players Filtered’ tab you are OK
  • If you have 2-2 and 3-3 filters active, select each one of them and delete them respectively
  • click OK to save your changes

Your HUD is now fully functional and all the stats will work as intended.

3) DATABASE MAINTENANCE

CUSTOM CACHE REBUILD

Every time you install a new HUD in PT4, you should rebuild cache in your PokerTracker database or your HUD might become slow or unresponsive.

Once you start be patient and wait until it’s finished.
Do not close PT4 software even if it looks frozen or unresponsive!

DATABASE OPTIMIZATION

Over time, when you play a lot and import lot of hands, your PT4 might become slow and sluggish.
You can fix this problem by doing database optimization.
We recommend doing database optimization every few months to make things run at the optimal speed.
Follow the guide below to optimize your PT4 database:

  • Open the PT4 software
  • Open ‘Database’ > ‘Database maintenance’ window
  • Click on ‘Housekeeping’ > ‘Tune PostgreSQL’
  • Wait until the process is finished
  • Restart your computer
  • Go back to the same screen ‘Database’ > ‘Database maintenance’ > ‘Housekeeping’
  • Run these 3 operations in the following order:
    1) Reindex
    2) Cluster
    3) Vacuum & Analyze

Depending on the size of your database and your hardware this process can take some time.
Once you start be patient and wait until it’s finished.
Do not close PT4 software even if it looks frozen or unresponsive!

4) AUTOMATED HUD SWITCHING
